Facilities Master Plan Presentation written over a chalkboard background

The Facilities Master Plan serves as a flexible tool to present issues to the community, the governing board, and district staff for input and revision on a periodic basis regarding the physical conditions of the schools and support facilities. Preparation of the Facilities Master Plan involves a systematic process that strives to identify needs and wisely allocate capital resources to bring district facilities up to state adequacy standards and district policies, with respect to:

  • Life/health/safety
  • Educational/programmatic needs (additions and renovations to meet various educational standards) and curriculum needs
  • Renewal needs (replacement schools, renovations, refurbishing, planning studies, deferred maintenance, and major system replacement)
  • Provision for necessary growth (new schools, additions, renovations, site acquisition, and design planning studies)
  • Educational technology

The parent/guardian feedback meeting will be a review of ARC’s findings and RRPS’s Steering Committee’s recommendations for allocating those limited resources for facilities renewal and upkeep over the next five years for Rio Rancho Public Schools in our Facilities Master Plan.
