Hello families of Sandia Vista!

My goal as a school counselor is to work in collaboration with families, teachers, and staff to support the academic, career, and personal/social development for all students. I will be working toward this goal in the following ways:

Guidance Curriculum: I will be teaching guidance lessons in classrooms throughout the school year. I will use Second Step curriculum which promotes social skills, emotion regulation, and problem solving. I also teach lessons on conflict resolution utilizing "Kelso's Choice" curriculum, If you would like information on these programs I have included a link to the webpage down below.

Small Groups: I work with small groups of students that meet during lunch recess. I run Friendship groups in the Fall and Spring for students that may benefit from additional social skill building with peers.

Individual Counseling: Students may be referred to me for individual counseling if they need additional support at school or if community information is needed for outside counseling services.

Collaboration:  Please call me at 338-2526, ext. 520 if there is anything I can help you with or if you have any questions.

- If you have a small problem try two of these choices. If you have a BIG problem (or if you've tried 2 choices and it didn't work) tell an adult who can help.
