Since earlier this school year, the he Rio Rancho Education Foundation has been partnering with ReUseIt to collect donations of usable clothing and household items from homes within the Rio Rancho School District boundaries. Donations raise money that benefits our schools! (See how later on this page).
And now, you can drop off usable clothing, shoes, and small household items at conveniently located drop boxes throughout Rio Rancho! Here's a downloadable flyer with information and locations
. They include:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary, 1301 Nicklaus Dr. SE
- Maggie M. Cordova Elementary, 1400 Veranda Rd. SE
- Ernest Stapleton Elementary, 3100 Stapleton Ave. NE
- Shining Stars Preschool, 4477 9th Ave. NE
- Enchanted Hills Elementary, 5400 Obregon Rd. NE
- Sandia Vista Elementary, 6800 Franklin Rd. NE

And, of course, ReUseIt will still come to your house to pick up donations of clothing, small furniture, and household items. Homes have been placed on a monthly pick-up route schedule (click here to access your scheduled pickup day
). Families not scheduled on a route or who do not want to wait for their scheduled pickup day may contact ReUseIt at 505-881-5018 and arrange for a special pickup. For a list of what can be donated, click here.
Families may sign up for text
or email reminders to receive a friendly message when ReUseIt is coming your way
The Rio Rancho Education Foundation (RREF) raises money to help public schools and teachers in Rio Rancho fund innovative and creative projects that could not otherwise be funded by the district. RREF benefits from all donations received through this program by ReUseIt! For example, if every student in the school district were to donate two large bags of clothing, RREF could earn more than $55,000 to benefit Rio Rancho Schools.
Families may access the monthly pickup calendar by visiting www.ReUseIt.org/RREF
. The calendar currently runs through December 2016.
